On the 28th August, 2018, Littleborough & District Lions Club held their annual 5K Road Race.
In response to suggestions, from earlier events, the route was modified to make the event safer.
We, normally, have a turnout of between 50 and 60 runners but, this year we were treated to a turnout of some 125 runners, when some local running clubs turned out en-mass.
This gave us a ‘hectic’ hour or two at registration and result gathering but was well worth the result.
We had 125 runners, who enjoyed the event and gave us positive feedback including one or two more suggestions. We also raised in excess of £700, which will be put to use in our local community.
